Assistant Manager – Accounting and Finance
For a Leading Jewellery Company based at Speezz Andheri-Mumbai
 
Experience: 6 to 10 yrs overall experience
And 2–4 years as Assistant Manager Accounts and Finance
CTC: 8 – 10 LPA
Shift Timings: 11 am to 9 pm with weekends off
Location: RGL Unit 1, Andheri Seepz-Mumbai
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ledger Scrutiny:
  • Account Reconciliation: Conduct thorough scrutiny and reconciliation of ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Error Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial ledgers.
 
Financial Statement Preparation:
  • Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed financial reports and analyses to support business decisions.
 
P&L and GL Review:
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly closing of books.
  • Review Profit & Loss statements, highlight variances against budget/forecast.
  • Regularly review and maintain general ledger accounts and ensure correct accounting classifications.
 
Report Preparation & Analysis:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, MIS, and variance analysis.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Present data in clear and actionable formats for management.
 
High-Level Data Entry & Validation:
  • Ensure accuracy in financial data entry into ERP systems (SAP/Tally/MS Dynamics etc.).
  • Maintain data integrity and consistency across systems.
  • Validate data inputs related to accounts payable, receivable, and journal entries.
 
Audit Support & Compliance:
  • Support internal and statutory audits with timely documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist in tax filings, GST reconciliations, and compliance requirements as needed.
 
Process Improvements:
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements in reporting and reconciliation workflows.
  • Participate in automation or digitalization initiatives within the finance function.
 
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/Ind AS)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally ERP 9 and QuickBooks
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter / CMA Inter
6–10 years of experience in core finance functions
