Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman responsible for preparing accurate mechanical drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed engineering drawings as per project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed 2D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
Prepare fabrication, assembly, part, and manufacturing drawings.
Develop drawings based on engineering specifications, sketches, and design concepts.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documents.
Prepare GA (General Arrangement), fabrication, and assembly drawings.
Create and modify drawings as per design and customer requirements.
Ensure proper dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and drawing standards.
Coordinate with design, production, fabrication, and engineering teams.
Incorporate engineering changes and revisions into drawings.
Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and maintain drawing records.
Check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
Provide technical drawings and documentation to the production/fabrication team.
Maintain proper revision control of drawings.
Support engineers and designers during product development and manufacturing.
Visit shop floor/site when required to understand fabrication and installation requirements.
Required Skills:
Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
Knowledge of SolidWorks / Creo / Inventor will be an advantage.
Good understanding of mechanical components and fabrication processes.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, fits, and basic manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
Good understanding of materials, welding symbols, and fabrication methods.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good coordination and communication skills.
